Format

  1. U1800 is divided into a preliminary phase (round robin) and a final phase.
  2. In the preliminary phase, players can play with anyone who registered for this tournament. Winner gets 2 points, and the losing player gets 1 point. No matches between guest players.
  3. Playoff round will take 12 players. Based on the score from first round, top 12 ranked players will advance to the play off round. If there is no female player in top 12, then top 11 advance, the 12th seat will be given to the first ranked female player. If there is a tie, use Winning Ratio as the tie breaker.
  4. The playoff round format is Group Round Robin followed by Single Elimination.

Eligibility

  1. Players USATT tournament rating or league rating less than 1800 is qualify for players, else can participate as guest players. Organizers can assign a rating to unrated players.
    • If a player has both USATT tournament rating and league rating, use the later rating before April 23, 2018
  2. No matches between guest players. Guest player will not be eligible for playoff round

Awards

  1. Champion: $50 + medal
  2. Runner up: $20 + 2 box Nittaku premium plastic balls + medal
  3. Third and fourth place: 2 box Nittaku premium plastic balls
  4. The rest Final qualifiers: 1 box Nittaku premium plastic balls
  5. The best Guest player: 2 box Nittaku premium plastic balls
